Last time I facilitated this class in December, I announced that I wouldn’t be teaching it for the foreseeable future. This weekend, I got a hit from spirit telling me it’s time.
I lost my mother last year after going no contact for 364 days. That means I didn’t see or speak to my mom for nearly a year before she died. This is my first Mother’s Day since her death and I’m already nervously thinking of ways I can take care of myself on this day that has often triggered complex emotions of sadness and grief.
I know I’m not the only one. So I created this class for us. You and me. For those of us who didn’t/don’t have the ideal relationships with our moms. Those of us who have had to mother ourselves. Those of us who need community on days like this. Those of us who need a reminder that we are not alone. Those of us who want to write about this relationship and need a little guidance to do it.
